Step:

  1. Cut the onions, carrots, and green peppers into thin pieces, about the same size. Mix the flavoring ingredients together and set aside.

  2. Roll the pork into bite-sized pieces. Cut the wider pieces into thin slices and roll them up. You can use any parts of meat you prefer.

  3. Coat the meat from Step 2 with katakuriko. Add vegetable oil to a frying pan, and place the meat rolls seam-side down on the pan. Cook while rolling them around, until golden brown.

  4. Cover with a lid and steam-cook for 2~3 minutes over medium heat so that they cook through. Wipe the excess grease with a paper towel, once the meat has cooked through.

  5. Add garlic and ginger to the pan in Step 4. After spreading it throughout the mixture, add in the vegetables from step 1, and roughly cook through.

  6. Stir in the flavoring ingredients from Step 1, and once it has thickened throughout, it's done.

  2. 500 grams Thin sliced pork
  3. 3 to 4 tablespoons Katakuriko
  4. 1 Onion
  5. 1/2 Carrot
  6. 2 Green pepper
  7. 1/2 tsp Grated garlic and ginger
  8. 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  9. Flavoring ingredients:
  10. 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  11. 1 tbsp Sake
  12. 2 tbsp Vinegar
  13. 2 tbsp Sugar
  14. 1/2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  15. 5 tbsp Water
  16. 1 tbsp Katakuriko
