Step:

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water as per the pack instructions
Meanwhile, put the oil in a saucepan with the onion and fry off slightly. Add the chilli and tomatoes/sauce and heat gently

Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce with the butter & pesto and stir in

Flake the tuna and add it to the pan. Season, stir through and serve

Ingredients

350 grams dried gluten-free spaghetti (dried is most likely to be egg & gluten-free)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
500 grams tomatoes, chopped OR sauce made from my recipe for Tomato-Free Tomato Sauce linked below
1 tbsp dairy-free spread/butter
some of my linked free-from pesto recipe, as much as you like to add
130 grams canned tuna (drained weight) or salmon
salt & pepper
