Step:

  1. Beat eggs slightly.

  2. Blend in sugar, salt, & vanilla.

  3. Stir hot milk slowly into egg mixture.

  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

  5. Bake at 475°F for 5 minutes.

  6. Reduce heat to 425°F and bake 15 minutes longer, or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.


Ingredients

  1. 4 eggs
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. 1 tsp vanilla extract (I add a bit extra)
  5. 2 1/2 cup scalded milk
  6. 1 nutmeg to taste
