Place a medium bowl and beaters from an electric mixer in freezer until well chilled.
In chilled bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add confectioner's sugar and amaretto; beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold in ground almonds. Spoon mixture into 12 paper lined muffin tins. Garnish with almond slices and cherries.
Freeze until firm; cover. Remove from freezer about 15 minutes before serving.
