Step:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

  2. Place sugar, flour, butter, eggs, pecans, and chocolate in a medium bowl.

  3. Stir with a spatula until thoroughly combined.

  4. Pour into pie crust.

  5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until filling is puffed and set.

  6. Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator.

  7. Allow pie to come to room temperature before serving.


Ingredients

  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1/2 cup self rising flour
  3. 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  4. 1 cup pecan pieces
  5. 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled
  6. 1 1/2 cup (9 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  7. 1 9 inch refrigerated pie crust, fitted into a 9 inch glass pie plate and crimped (You can also use your own homemade pie crust which is what my Grandma did)
